Coaching on and off the court

II have spent the last ten years working as a truck driver. I recently retired and continue to run my company to a day-to-day basis. I have coach basketball for almost 8 years on the AAU level, I have won a national championship on the highest level. 

During my last AAU season, we went 8-3, won 2 Nike medals. We never lost a game by double digits, 6 out of 11 we won games by more than 20 points. We averaged 8 steals a game and 12 points off turnovers. Was able to get both my unsigned seniors multiple scholarship offers they hadn't received their entire career.

From being a coach and player I possess a firm foundation in the understanding of basic basketball principles. I also understand how to motivate athletes for the common good. The combination of these skills will allow me to foster a positive atmosphere with which we can build a strong foundation. Throughout my time playing and coaching at the high school and college level has allowed me to study a variety of coaching strategies. I possess a wealth of knowledge and I am willing to remain flexible enough that my player’s individual talents can flourish within the structure of a team’s system.
